“We Are The Sermon” is a direct way to be involved in helping those who are in need. WATS is a day of service that we commit to with other congregations across our community every year. The day itself falls on the last Sunday in April but WATS also serves as a date to “re-focus” our efforts of service to others. We do not limit ourselves to one day, but WATS serves as an avenue to begin the process of involving many who desire to lend a helping hand in yard work, clean up efforts, tree trimming, ministering, and simply doing good for others. You may help in leading a group, being a worker, or filling other important roles (trash trailer pick up, praying with those we are serving, providing refreshments for workers, etc) Many connections and further commitments of service have evolved over the years from WATS. It is simply a time to worship in song, communion and prayer with no formal sermon because for that day and many to follow……..WE ARE THE SERMON!!!!
