THE PURPOSE OF THIS COMMITTEE IS TO SEND CARDS, CREATE “LOVE BASKETS,: MAKE PHONE CALLS, VISIT THE SICK, OFFER ENCOURAGEMENT WHERE NEEDED. THIS SUB-COMMITTEE OF THE LADIES ENCOURAGEMENT COMMITTEE STRIVES TO DO SOMETHING AT LEAST ONCE A MONTH FOR OUR “GEMS & JEWELS.”

PRAYER WARRIOR COMMITTEE
The purpose of this committee is to provide a list of women willing to pray for our teens daily, and send an occasional encouragement card.

PIES FOR NEWCOMERS COMMITTEE
The purpose of this committee is to welcome each family that
places membership at Westgate with a pie. Members will make

LADIES SUPPER COMMITTEE
The responsibilities of the hostesses for each of our four ladies suppers are to plan the menu and the program, order the meat or other main dish (paid by the church) and to ensure that all necessary dinnerware and beverages and other supplies are available. In addition, they are responsible for decorating the tables and placing an announcement in the bulletin two weeks prior to the supper.

FOOD COMMITTEE
This purpose of this sub-committee of Westgate’s Calling and Caring Ministry is to work with the elders in order to prepare and take food to the sick, to the bereaved, for funerals, coming home from the hospital, and others as needed.

This purpose of this sub-committee of Westgate’s Physical Needs Ministry is to work with the chairman of this ministry in order to assist ladies in preparing for baptismal services, to care for the laundry from baptisms, and to purchase needed supplies.

NEW MOM MEALS COMMITTEE
The purpose is to take meals to new moms and their families. The chairperson will keep track of the new moms and visit with them about their meal needs (dates and times). Typically we deliver three meals during the week (every other day). The chairperson will need to put a sign up sheet on the office window for persons to sign up for a main dish, side dish, and dessert.
