In the episode of the woman anointing Jesus’s feet we see the power of forgiveness, and the correlation of forgiveness and love. Jesus’ loving forgiveness of this woman results in an outward display of Love and gratitude. The Pharisee feels entitled, worthy, and deserving, which makes him very unloving. To better love others, we must realize our own brokenness and need for forgiveness.
