Welcome, Newcomer
We welcome you to our community and we want you to come and visit with us. Are you interested in finding a church where you will "feel at home" and one that is trying to please Jehovah God? Please take a few minutes of your time and read the following.
We share the same beliefs that the church has had since it was established in the first century. Among these are:
1. God became flesh in the man Jesus. John 1:1,14
2. Christ paid for man's sins through his death on the cross.
3. Christ rose in bodily form from the grave, conquering death and proving he is the Son of God. He is coming again to judge all men.
4. The bible is the inspired, authoritative Word of God.
Most people are a little hesitant about visiting a new church, not knowing what to expect. We try to make our services just as helpful as possible to you. Here is what you might expect.
1. The entire congregation is invited to sing the praises of God.
2. Prayers are led by different members, standing, or sitting.
3. All are invited to commune or eat the Lord's Supper, the bread and the fruit of the vine, each Sunday.
4. All are invited to share their gifts as the offering plates are passed.
5. After the sermon an invitation song is usually sung. This song is an invitation for people to come to Christ and confess him before men. It is also an invitation for those who have forsaken him to come back to him. The congregation usually stands while this song is being sung. If someone comes to the front of the building and confesses Christ, preparations will be made for his/her baptism. Then you will be privileged to watch someone follow the steps of Christ as he is buried in baptism. If one has already been baptized and has been unfaithful to God, prayer will be made in his behalf.
